Probably with significant modifications however there are many other kits available that will do the same thing with a ton less hassle off the shelf.

ah k, i have the vt upgrade already but it seems to be not as good as i would have hoped. i mean, i drive a 2006 tarago for toyota, and its brakes are better than mine..... seems kinda strange seeing as the tarago has 1 pot front brakes and mine are twin... and yes discs are freshly machined and have like 8mm of pad left.

Ive been looking at replacing my brakes, Im goin to chuck in new rotors. not sure weather to get slotted ones or not and new pads. Ive read that you can change the master cylinder to a VP or VN SS master cylinder and it makes the breaks that bit better. And a line locker for the rears to stop me form having to replace them again, no one has done a write up about installing a line locker in a VN so thats coming soon.

If you want big brakes, go buy an aftermarket set of brakes (AP, Brembo, Alcon). You should then pull up on a 5 cent piece. Get massive brakes for the front, and just a VT twin piston upgrade for the rear.

Will cost you a bit though.

You'll be needing minimum 17" rim's for VE SS brakes, 19's for E series HSV (im pretty sure.) so they fit over them.

yeh. i think i have the origonal booster lol so ill try that, also was driving round in the wet for the first time today, its very slidy on the corners and roundabouts. i have to slow right down to like 20-35km/h to make it round without swinging out or understeering. is this normal?

Nope - get better tyres. 215's are a big help.

And I've just done a VT booster M/C upgrade with stock calipers and all I can say is WOW.

Bank for buck - 10 out of 10. Wont be spending any more $$ on bigger calipers at all. I run 3 VN's and a VZ. 1 more VN to upgrade on the brakes.

You're not sure if your 1990's car should slip around a tight roundabout in the wet at 25kmh+??

shane, is that a pretty straightforward swap? can i use the same lines, and if not is it hard to change etc? i bet it's been covered before, but i'm really tired and can't be bothered searching .

i'll be needing new rotors and pads soon, so i may as well spend $50 and get the vt booster and master cylinder while i'm at it.
