vp commodore v6 mods any1 help

ok please help i have a stock vp s pack commodore minus a cold air induction with pod filter. i was wonderin if any1 can give me some cheap hints on how to mod performance, i am a p plater and dnt have heaps 2 spend im planing on puting in a set of second hand superlows but i want 2 keep the outside fair stock so i want to mainly work on engine performance. can any1 help me or give me hint on stuff i can get thanks
