I read about how you should clean the IAC valve on the throttlebody but dont really understand what your ment to clean it with. Can someone in plain english explain to me how to do it please. i have cleaned inside the butterfly of the throttlebody just couldnt work out the rest. is there a way to clean the IAC without taking off the throttlebody or do you have to take the whole thing off?
Carby cleaner will do it. I am not familiar with the buick engine so I will leave that up to the other members, however with the Ecotec engine it is just easier to remove the throttle body and make sure you clean everything.
remove TB, clean, put TB back on. keep the TPS at the top so the carb cleaner doesn't get into it whilst cleaning
