VN motor..P plater legal...

Hey there everyone!

Ive just bought my 2nd Vn and its got about 300k's on the clock and the engine is noticeably lazy. My plan was to take the engine out of my old VN (only about 120k's on it), clean it up a bit and drop it in my new VN. Before i do that, i just wanted to get a list of mods i can do to increase performance that will be P plater legal.

List so far:
Upgrade Fuel-Injectors ..
K&N filter..
good air pipe thingy ma bob LOL.. (??)
good brand spark plugs/leads
better oil
clean throttle body
CAI - better air flow
upgrade coil pack
tighten throttle cable
performance chip
cam
get heads ported
raise comp to 9.5:1

Turbo / super charger etc etc..
If you have a Pod, it must be enclosed..

I know there is a lot more mods that are legal..and illegal.. just cant think of a lot atm.. Im grinding my teeth about to change my fuel injectors over..

where abouts are u from swifty? because if ur in vic, u cant do ANYTHING to ur car to increase power, no matter how slight the increase may be, or how slow it is, etc.. cops can get u for a high flow air filter if they want to. it sucks ass, i know.
ur biggest issue would be insurance companies finding mods and saying "BUUH BOWWW, no payout for u, silly duffa" *crashed into Merc* OUCHH.

i want to do stuff to my car too, but if u get caught, its not worth it

Trust me, if i could have an 8, ID HAVE IT! I LOVE power, but being a p plater i need to blow my cash on other things to keep me amused

just this morning..i was driving thru town with Hazzard lights on.. (6am)

for the life of me, i dont know why it was on..and I DIDINT notice till every bitch was honking there horn at me.. So i gave em the rude finger..till one dude yelled out "Oi dude! Your hazard lights are on"

I was thinking... "Ohhh shit..." felt bad about flippin em off to LOL...lucky it was peak hour traffic... or that could have caused an accident !!

forgot to add.. better oil will help..( i dont know whats best..i just use whats recommended for vn-vp)

also for better performance... clean the TB (Throttle body - thanks to Wogboyz)
If you dont have a CAI, may be worth chuckin one in better air flow.

And, is your coil pack the 'Chocolate block' looking? if so.. upgrade it, more spark..
And for fuel..go with premium..seems to do wonders for my engine


Also, another neat trick is.. Tighten your Thortlle cable, can help with response *DONT over tighten tho.

AND (lol) look on egay (E-bay) you can buy a Performance chip aswell
