G'day, im looking to lower my 1990 series 1 VN commodore and i was wondering if anyone by chance had any info where the best place to buy the springs and shocks from (good quality at a reasonable price sorta thing) any tips would help, im looking to put in a few hard yards to get my old girl back to her former glory so any info would be muchly appreciated. also if anyone has any info regarding the same thing in relation to getting it resprayed that'd be wicked too thanks
Get super low pedders from JAX - about $480 for all four fitted and alligned.
Or just get Ultra low kings at the back and super low at the front and fit them at the cheapest place if you cant do it yourself... You can probably pickup up a set of 4 lowered springs for about 250-300.
IDK about shocks as mine came with shortened shocks already sorry.
You will most likely NEED an allignment after it.
I build websites for cheap.
more to lowering a vn than just springs and shocks ????? check your panhard rod length , reset all bushes , rolling guards , check the height and clearance when loaded , reset wheel alignment front and rear , consider the C angle of the diff and drive line angle , height of the centre bearing , exhaust clearance .

i have some pedders super low prings, peders lowered shocks and and a pedders adjustable panhard. all for the rear. only like 6mths old for sale $350 if your interested.
genuine front fe2 are available and cost me $55 each.
Hard to beat that price and they are properly made to suit the car.
hey centy do u have any pic of car with fe2 springs? and wat spring are u running at da bak?
I like the whiteline "full works" kit best (handling pack with bushes & radius rods & adjustable sway bars & panhard rod + shocks & springs pack), you get a great result and fantastic handling but it's pretty expensive. Mine cost a bit over $2k fitted. I must admit my car was trying to kill me with a bizarre suspension fault before I did that so it was worth it for me.

Im looking to upgrade all my suspension at the moment, any tips?? im looking for a nice low well balanced set up.
I am running super low kings in mine. You can take corners alot harder and go through round abouts with **** all body roll. It looks pretty sweet low. You gotta remember that when you lower it you need new shocks to match and a adjustable panhard bar for the live axle.
With super lows you want to change your shocks to Monroe 25-3632 for the front and Monroe 15-0567 for the rear, they have been designed for these springs. Get a adjustable panhard bar on there and refresh all your bushs with better aftermarket ones and you have pretty much hit the wall with upgrades you can do.
