tail light not working

hey guys my left tail light doest work ive changed the bulb n wasnt blown the bottom half of the light works but the top half doesnt n i cant figure it out so if somone can help me plz ill appreciate it heaps az i dont wanna be pulled up by police for haven tail light out

The bulb holder is probably corroded (especially if your taillights leak water). You can either get another holder, or try to clean it up with some sandpaper or something.

Failing that check that the wires havent come out of the back of the bulb holder. Sometimes they get corroded and break off.

Also check you are using the correct type of bulb - swap from left to right to confirm.

got another one for ya..
all my brake lights work when i have my lights off
but when i have my lights on.. my bottom left break light goes off.. WTF

You can pick up new globe holders from most auto elecs for a few bucks each better off to replace all the holders in one go than to muck around cleaning up the sockets. You both will find most of your probs are comming from bad earths in one rare instance,and dont ask me how,but i had a car do this and i found it had a blown hazard light fuse

I'd be pissed if I was pulled up for 1 of 4 in total tail lights not workin!!

lol hey guys just lettin yous know i fixed the problem lol i was replace the wrong bulb i was replacing the blinker bulb stead of the brake light ahahah im such a tool well the brake light was burnt out
