Howdy again lol!
Right, so i've put new injectors in!! Not leaking anymore!
However, the fail start up is still persisting..But, this time it's not coughing out back fuel smoke via the exhaust anymore
So, when I go to start the car up, she winds and winds..Each wind sounding closer to start up, but when it does for the first few secs.. it's like the engine is trying to escape.. its making thumping noises that really shakes the shit outa the car lol..
A few buddies of mine, suggest its the CAS (Crank angel sensor) it's dying..
Just asking, is this true?
Or is there a way to fix it before, I order the CAS ?
Im also thinking , the starter motor could be kicking the bucket aswell..
Any help is appreciated
Thanks lol
mark.
Once it finally does start, how does it run??
Can you get a loan of a fuel pressure gauge and see if your fuel pump is running up to pressure ??
first few seconds is really rough! then after a bit of throttle it sorts it self out.
But when it stops at red lights etc etc it will begin to make a knocking sound
Havent tried a fuel pressure gauge..Where do i put the gauge in tho? never done it before![]()
id get ur fuel pump checked, also it could be the CAS if there not expensive id change it anyway if it hasnt been done before
I suppose it wouldn't hurt to get fuel gauge anyway lol. But, if I do get one..What should the gauge be sitting on, "Lean" - "Stoich" - "High" ? (Looking at this one - http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/onl...155249#details)
OR! if it has number indicated ones, what should it be sitting at?
Fuel pump, is stock..And has been running VERY Close to Empty once..As I was outta town and forgot to re-fill before leaving ... But, it's quiet..not loud or anything. But, being so close to E it would not surprise me if i've farked it lol.
As for CAS, it's about $50 to buy it, plus $60-70 for a mech to put it in..
Once this is done..She will be all good![]()
will beIm sure it's the CAS. as the engine makes a knock sound wile sittin, not hard..but noticeable :P
Like a mate of mine with a VS had a rooted CAS, and his shook like theres no tomoro LOL
Hi all I would be looking at coils first any good mechanic should be able to test these - They seem to fail regularly
did u get a mech to test the resistance? in the coils? because if your cas is fried u wont be getting any spark
Your balancer is shagged, as for the hard to start I'd would have said leaking injectors but since you have new ones maybe not
welp.. problem has been found. Its fuel related.. I take the fuel pump fuse out..Start the car..Let it stallthen put the fuse back in .. Waited 30min. kicks first go.. Highly suspecting fuel pump or damage line :P
woot. gettin closer!
