oil light stays on

hi just flushed my radiator and now every time i start my 91 v6 vn my oil light stays on it has oil although it needs a change any ideas why

Sounds like the sensor has died, easy to replace.

Yeah, it's not hard to get water in the oil pressure switch when doing a coolant flush. Rip out the plug, dry it all out, leave it unplugged overnight then smash it back in and see if there's any improvement

Did u find a solution to your problem.??
I also did this....had no light probs for years...did an oil change and filter, flushed radiator out, added coolant, and find..now my oil light is stuck on. Changed/replaced the oil sender unit..as the warning light/and assuming dodgy oil sender unit - cut the fuel pump out then blew a fuse (some safety cut out thing designed to come on when low oil pressure is detected).....is it ideal/ok to drive with the oil sender unit not connected if i am having no more trouble with the fuel pump cutting out?
