One of the first things i fixed on mine, The reflectors inside the headlights become dulled over time and don't reflect the light very well. You can pick up brand new aftermarket headlights on Ebay pretty cheap, then make sure they are aimed properly using the 2 knobs on the back of the headlights. There should be a guide how to correctly aim them around here somewhere.

not really, from my experience relays tend to work or dont work, they may 'flicker' on and off when they are wearing out. However its always good to make sure your electrical system is up to scratch, dirty battery terminals, poorly maintained batterys, bad earths/connections etc.. can cause voltage drop which will result in decreased light output from your headlights
