i know there use to be a wright up on here on removing a trans for a vn cant find it. if someone could find the link it would be awesome. or just give me a quick run on how to do it. i have done one befor but dont wont to **** it up???
-undo loom
-drop fluid (from pan)
-remove dip stick
-undo inspection cover bolts (some on sump need to come off to)
-undo converter bolts
-undo bell housing bolts
-remove shift linkage
-remove tail shaft
-undo rear trans mount bolts (support the trans with jack)
and it should come off
think that's about it.

And the auto cooler lines at the trans unions. Usually the hardest part of the job.
Also, remove the speed sensor wiring harness from the clip on the back of the trans or you risk tearing it off the car.
