Yeah, you need a press to push them out, as they are an interferance fit in the rod. Sometimes you can get away with it in a vice, if it is big enough, but it is clumsy that way. You need to support the piston, have something slightly smaller than the pin to push with, yet have a hole underneath for the pin to pass through. I would ask a local garage if you don't have a press, might cost $20, but will save a lot of grief. Good luck
