car sound muffler

hey guys,

today i bought a vn executive and thers 1 thing i want to change and thats the sound of the car i want more of a deep louder rumble.

can i do this by simply getting a muffler tip, or what do i have to do

i was looking at spending around $500?

You can get a full brand new Redback 2.5" cat-back exhaust fitted for around $300 at a reputable exhaust shop.

Go for a Cat Back as Morton Said...They are under 500 at most joints....If you want it loud enough to annoy non petrol heads then you can get a system with the rear muffler removed...But you do give the blue light disco something to hassle you about..

Spend your 500bucks on something that will actually make a difference. A set of decent headers would improve/change the sound, and you will actually gain some performance out it.

it will make it suprisingly loud, on my VT ecotec, i gotta 2 and half inch cat back with A muffler....very small muffler lol and its loud...been pulled over 3 times...its a shame...that its legal hahaha

I got a brand new 2.5 catback for $190 and fitted it myself, I do get the couple of idiots that think its a V8, the ones that think that louder it is the bigger the engine so that how loud it is.

But ive never been asked about it by the cops, they look at other things on my car and ask about them over that so it not too loud. But then again it might be that every time i see cops i roll into the RBT in neutral

edit: also its only got 1 muffler, the front one.

Not a redback but thats the same one i got on my car from the same seller. I think it was $190 including postage for me, but i 100% recomend them.

Altho like all bulk made exhausts (that ive seen) it rubs on a nut on the rear axel, think its on the panhard rod. It got close to wearing a hole through on mine.

if your gonna spend $500 try find a set of second hand extractors, and new 2.5inch system, sound better and go better
