Help needed radiator issues

Hey guys, just got a new radiator of a mate, came out of a vn. The new radiator has no pressure cap on it, as the one in my vp has. Will I need a new refill bottle with a pressure cap.? Any help would b greatly appriciated. Cheers Marty .

sounds like you got an S1 radiator. you would need the S1 overflow bottle in this case as well. i'm not sure if you'd be able to run it like this or if there's anything else you'd need as well. the cooling systems were quite different between s1/s2. you'd be better off getting the correct radiator, they're $100 brand new anyway so it's not expensive.

give it back to him and get a series 2 radiator it'd cost you more to get the parts and change it all to a series 1 set up to run it
