Hey all
Just curious as to if the VP 3.8 should have a grounding wire from the coil pack or not (VN's seem to have one)
Having some issues with rough running and the like, changed coil pack over and seems to run a bit better but noticed that a mates 89 VN has the wire from the coil pack whereas the VP engine in my wagz doesn't have one
If ignorance is bliss why aren't there more happy people around ?
You should see an earth wire down a bit further from the coil pack, on one of the three thick bolts that hold the DFI and coils to the cylinder head.
Illegitimi Non Carborundum
Mine doesn't have one at all
Looks like a trip to the wreckers tomorrow as it obviously used to have one before the engine transplant

my VP never had one my vn does its not really a major its well earthed through the bracket but extra earths can never hurt if you can pocket one VR doesnt have them either if i remember right i had to pocket one for the last coilpack relocation i did
