thrash your car do it right, go try it its nuts. not so much fun on a 6 cylinder as it only is enough to launch the car, then it has to change into second. doing it on the v8 is fun

got a v6 so probably not worth it, cant afford a new trans anyway so i wont try lol

you have the diff gears which would put you out of the game anyway... i do it on stock v6's and v8's and work a treat and yes it puts excess starain on the motor/trans but its accelerating as fast as you possibly can versus just putting the foot down in drive... a v6 will knacker a v8 if you do this and they simply plant it done it many times in my old v6's its just a way to get 100% acceleration from your setup (using 3.08;s of course) il soon find out what the diff gears are capable of..

mine doesn't switch @65, i have hit 70 but switch it up manually. wouldn't have to go any higher then that.

yeh trans are pricey, the auto died @200,000kms (i had only driven ~10,000kms in the car), cost 1.3k in total for a 2nd hand auto, new trans oil and filter + labor.

thats a bugger ive done it this weekend for 30 dollars :P got a second hand box and filter kit, and the fluid was free, mind you for 400 dollars for the last box when it lasted only 2k was pretty wonderful
