You're probably wondering where you are. I'll tell you where you might be. You might be in the room that you die in. This is your wake up call.
Blackboard paint?
im not doing with rollers but i am gonna do gloss black now spray cans is going to be my way
n i hope i can get a result like that
I doubt you will never get something like that with pressure packs, particularly if you don't know the intricacies of prep work, like you said before. Pressure packs don't provide a reliable source of pressure, which can lead to patchy paint work. Are you doing a clear coat?
Don't really know how paint from a can will go being sanded back with each coat. Can't imagine the quality of the paint either. Your gonna be spending heaps on spray cans though.
were you going to give a rub back by hand or with an orby? I know a couple of young dudes who have done the rattle can respray and to get a HALF decent result it costs more in rattle cans than spaying it - depending on what gear (compressor with good capacity, HVLP gun etc) you have access to.

aha what do you mean
lol good luck getting mirror finish with spray can or anything acrylic for that matter
if you want the old school hot rod matt look forget clear coats mate just get a 4litre of matt black enamel from a professional supplier- get advice from them. couple of coats and your done, easy to touch up too - but definitely talk to a pro that supplies the panel/paintshops, that way you've got a better chance of getting the right advice for the product rather than a painter selling you a job

pressure packs to spray a car = fail. it won't be even and will end up looking like shit VERY quickly.
for reference, i used 6 or more cans to spray my bumpers and i needed way more. so to do a whole car, you may need 20 or so cans. for the good stuff it's $15 a can (hopefully you weren't considering the $3 a can stuff), so that's $300 in paint alone, excluding primer and clear and whatever else you want... may as well hire a compressor and do it properly the first time around so you don't have to do it again![]()
When are you going to start it?, make sure you put up pictures of progress i'm sure everyone would like to see it.
~ VN POWER ~ Click the scales
hopefully start later today n tomorow if it stops raining
gonna start on the boot first see how it goes but no matter what the hole car will be primed'''
even if black doesnt go to well will get pics up of what im doing over next few days hopefully i can get boot prefect n move on to rest of the carr cheers boys
are you doing it indoors (garage, temporary booth etc) or outdoors? it's going to have to be indoors - pressure packs just blow away with the slightest breeze which will create uneven spray.
hahahah another spray can warrior lol![]()
that really looks sexy aahah but i think gloss is way to go now
If your going gloss black the best for showing wonky panels, the bodywork needs to be perfect - the matt looks way tougherand will be easier for touchups
