    Default back fire problem

    hey guys a mate has a problem with his car it is missing then fine under normal driving conditions but under heavy aceliration it backfires and spits and all that sort of thing i have been told ot could be fuel presure regulator

    (i have replaced coil pack,plugs,leads,fuel filter,and fuel pump)

    Did the backfiring do any damage to the airbox? If it has a hole in it from the backfiring that will cause it to continue.

    mine does this with one dfi and coil set i have as soon as i put my other one back on its fine maybe the new dfi and coils were dead
    I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
    tabbacco is still my favorite vegetable

    sorry i get the coil bit but wat does dfi stand for but the problem started b4 we changed them

    Wouldn't be an issue with the emissions control system by any chance would it? If my memory serves me i heard that excessive idling or high revs can cause fuel vapour build up in the catalytic converter and may cause a backfire.

    I had the same problem after i washed my engine (Duuhh) got new coilpacks and dfi module but it still did it, couldn't for th life of me work it out....turned out to be dfi/coilpackes wrnt grounding propley. tightened it up and voila....

    sorry can some one tell me wat dfi stands for i get acronyms but it is going over my head but the coil pack is good

    its the thin black module thats is under the coils
    I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
