Wont Start, Error Codes

Dont you just hate cars somedays ?

went out to start my animal, and nooo, she dosent want to run, cranks over, idels for 3-4 seconds, then drops revs, and dies

so i decided to check the error codes, Sweet numbers 44, 45 appeared

Code 44 - Oxygen Sensor Lean (O2)

Code 45 - Oxygen Sensor Rich (O2)


so i unclipped the Oxy sensor, from the extractors, and the car started fine , idled for 10 seconds, then died again, :'(

i then reset the computer, and checked the codes again Sweet number 12 all fine ?

yet it still wont idle for over 3 seconds, before dieing

any suggestions ?

what happeneds when you rev it and hold the throttle? i would start by changing that O2 sensor.

if you rev it and keep it over 1k RPM, it will sit there, but as soon as ur foot comes off the accelerator it dies D:

little bit of an update, after 10 seconds of cranking over, i can get it to idle, but as soon as the foot touches the accelerator, u can hear the TB sucking air in. like a pod filter, then the car drops in revs and dies :'(

changed leads, and plugs, still NOTHING !!!

ive given up, gona call in the big boys to fix it,

If i where you i would just replace the O2 sensor with another, or buy a new one, just because you reset the computer that just wipes all the codes, but the sensor sounds stuffed to me, and will still be causing the problem, but clean out the T/B aswell cant hurt.

i had a similar problem where i could get it to idol but as soon as i gave it gas it died. Turned out to be Fuel, i ran the tank to empty filled it up then this started. It was a blocked fule fliter, i replaced it and ran a bottle of injector cleaner with the next tank and it all runs fine now.

got the step dad, to call out RAA for free because he was a member, he said he was driving the car and it just wouldnt start, , turns out it was faulty fuel in the lines, and a fuel filter , the animal is running again

but somehow the battery is dead now ....
