Smashed Rear Door Quater Window

Howdi.

My drivers side rear door quater window on my Calais was smashed the other night. I couldnt find any rock or anything in the area, and I don't think anyone has a motive to harm my car, so I dont know how it happened.

Anyways. I've been told by two mates that I need a special tool or something to install the new window and that I'm best off just taking it somewhere to get fixed.

Is this true? Or can I go buy a window from the wreckers and put it in? If so, how? and If so, how difficult? lol

Savage is selling Rear quarters..And I'd assume he would know how to put it em in and out.

he is chasin $60 for em.. pretty cheap! you will be looking at 200+ for a new one i think..

They are pretty easy to replace. Pull off the trim on the inside and you will be able to see all the screws from there. There is a how-to on here as well. Look for one about fixing the boot leak VN-VS

btw it's not the rear quater window that's broken.

Its the smaller window in the rear door.

Yeah I have one here, sent you a PM smallies, just depends whether I get an offer on the whole car or not as to whether I can pull one for you. If someone fussy buys the parts car and wants it complete, I don't have any spare ones laying around

wind the widow down take the door skin off undo all the bolts holding the metal upright to the door tilt forward and lift up and out the door pretty easy job the window runner part comes out with it
