I have speciifed SS for a reason. I have just purchased a VP SS with HSV enhancement pack that is is pretty good condition with low mileage. I want to convert the car back to bone stock (right down to the stereo) and it currently has K-Mac suspension on it..
I am after stock FE2 springs off a VP SS as a trade. The springs would have to be in good condition, as the K-Mac suspension is not that old. The owner of the car would have to be willing to come to Wollongong to do the swap. I can supply tools and space but they would have to help do the changeover.
I'm not sure what the suspension in the HSV enhanced cars was.
On my authentication letter, I have 'SV Suspension Kit' as an option, and its a shitload stiffer with almost no body roll compared to other FE2 equipped cars that I owned/drove in, and its all original as I know the full history of the car.
So you might want to check if your car even came with this kit, if it is any different.
genuine springs are available and dirt cheap.
i would sugest going to holden and getting new.
for $55 each it is well worth it.
are the strut tops available and if so any good?
