VP power steering rack leak

Just wondering what you reckon should i clean the power steering rack and look for the leak and fix it (some how) or is it just better to replace the whole rack? Cheers

Change over racks don't cost a huge amount. If they are built well they will last another 200,000ks so it's not a bad option

As long as its not just a pipe leaking or running down onto the rack, the exchange racks are only a couple hundred from memory and easy to replace, half a dozen bolts, but you will need a wheel alingment.

yeah im watching a couple on ebay there is one that says guaranteed to work and not leak. can only hope for the best thats ebay for ya.

I'd be very careful with ebay mate, know a lot of people that have been screwed around, plus you can't walk into repco and say..it's rooted you c***s! ha ha.

A few of us here by racks from ebay, but they are expert rack rebuilder guys that sell on there. I can't remember the name of the guy that built mine (which is mint) but someone else might have a username for you
