is there any diffrence in the vn v6 auto tailshaft and the vn v8 auto tailshaft?
Also is it worth recoing my standed shaft or am i better to look at fitting a diffrent type to the car?

from memory the v8 shaft is shorter as the box is longer. and i see no harm in just rebuilding your old one

See if you can find a place that has changeover tailshafts on the shelf. Getting the unis and centre bearing and cv replaced + the whole thing phased/balanced isn't cheap
