    Default Code 14

The car started playing up something chronic yesterday and my Dh has just done a check and Code 14 came up. He just wants to know if this would cause the car to stall and just loose power. We thought it was the fuel pump, so he banged at that and then he put his head under the bonnet and some of the fuses were loose. It started after he pushed them back on, so just wondering if that could cause it to stall.
Also when he checked the coolant, he said it smelt like engine oil in there.
Any ideas, much appreciated if you do.
    TIA.

well first of all you have a code that is 14, you should check the sensor and see if its alright or replace it, and see if that is causeing the problem and reset the computer. If there is fuses loose or relays to say your fuel pump or something yes it will cut it off and you will get no fuel and the car will die, so double check them all and make sure there all tight and have a good conection.

He has now replaced it, he just wants to know if he has done any damage as he accidently left the bridge wire in the diagnostic and started the car. It seems fine, but he does not need another headache. Thanks guys for your help.
