Gear Shifter Loose

The gear shifter in my VQ statesman is loose, it has around a cm of freeplay between gears and is getting quite annoying, what can I do to fix this? Is there something I have to tighten?

yeah if u take console out u might b able to see it

Just an update, took a look under the car and the bolt that attaches the bottom of the shifter's rod to the gear box was loose, tightened it up and it's very tight now.
