ok im fitting a full pacemaker system to my v6 vg and came across a problem. The oxygen sensor on the stock exhaust goes into the header itself as where on the pacemaker one it goes into the exhaust after the extractors. Has anyone came across this problem and what did u do to fix it
of course people have come across this problem, you're not the first person to install pacemakers
some people have found that the placement doesn't give the oxy sensor an optimal reading as opposed to the stock location. sometimes you may get the check engine light pop up. other people haven't had any problems at all. if it causes you problems then drill a thread closer to the stock location and plug up the other hole.
I have had this problem, and the Check Engine light came on, as said above, get a hole drilled in it and put the sensor higher, there should be a hole up there with a bung in it, mine was welded and i attacked it with an angle grinder around the bolt head and then undid it with a spanner and got it off, but just have a look if there is no bung there just get another hole drilled and a nut on there so you can attatch the O2 sensor on it, an exhaust place can do this easy enough, if you cant do it.
