20"s vn fark
ok bought 20"s then relised they dont freakin fit the front n hit the stuts badly where the spring sits in the mount just wondering the best fix for this other then spacers cos the wheels will stick out the sides of the car and stuff i was thinkin of cuttin the spring mount and moven it up about 10-20mm to give them plenty of clearance is there any major thing that will happen if i do this eg: stut bendins easy???? help guys plz

he mate yea puting 20tz on a vn can be a night mare wats the rim width and size of tyres u got ???is it standard height or lowered are ya back gaurds rolled they should fit on the back ok...... but fronts are the problem dont cut the strut were ya spring sits in cozs its there for a reason id go 2 a suspension place an ask mate maybe coil ovas in the front will solve the problem

i have 20s and maybe you could of got a test fit on the rim b4 you got em. but yeah it is a pain in the arse to buy something and find out its not right

yeh i no they wont get rwc whith them on i have 16"s for that but i just dont wan2 have it all together n then have to pull it all apart to modify them to get the 20"s on there but oh well looks like ill just work something out cos im not lettin it beat me lol ill get it on

Coil overs are worth a fair few bucks. Pedders do a coil over, probably your cheapest option. Even 19's can scrub on VN's, no way you can fit 20's without a few problems.

hey have u got spacers on the front rotors if not theres a few mm there???? and running 225z 35z are ok its the rim offset by the lookz of it mate maybe sell em an look for the right rims before u buy an been a stocko v6 its hardly worth doin just my ipinion ive got 18tz vx clubby rims on me vn and its on its ass and there no scrubing heaps a room all ova without spacers ??????????????

So if it's a shitty V6 with **** all done to it, why are you wasting money on wanky 20" wheels for a shitty VN? Should have taken the rim money and put it towards something more decent for your car. A blower for instance, or a new paint job, or even another car.
DAVE- theres nothing wrong woth massaging the spring seats a lil bit (10mm or so)
COBEZ- you had sigs on your old vp which were genuine, how much did they set you back?
so 19's are ok but 20's are a waste of money?

Did you read properly? I didn't say my car was a shitty VP when i put Sigs on it. I was happy with everything else i had done to it, i put the Sigs on last.
He said he owns a shitty VN and nothing else good about it. So why not save the rim cash and put it towards putting something else good on it. Alot of chicks think "wanker" when they see massive wheels on Commodores nowadays. My rims weren't for picking up chicks either, i had / have a missus

yeh thats rightits not really that shit its fairly clean got low ks and all the rest n i have done a lot of work to it and plan on more eg: vl x-member and rb engine manual but that will wait till im ready and im not goin to bash/blow torch anything im goin to do it right n get coil over kit for the front or im goin to move the spring seat up 10mm like another guy on here did.
