I have the Speed sensitive power steering in my VP Calais, but recently it hasn't been working at all and I have no power assist. First off it was occasional now it isn't working completely.
I have tried resetting the BCM and also having a look for leaks, the rack isn't leaking nor is the power steering pump.
I cant hear the pump operating anymore but when it was operating it wasn't loud like most pumps that are on the way out.
So my guess is that its the solenoid thats to do with the Speed sensitive power steering?
If it is this where could I get a new solenoid from and for how much?
Thanks guys
Try Pedders- IIRC they list a part number for the solenoid on their website mate. If that fails try holden spare parts![]()

Forgot to mention that it can also be the seals in side the rack I believe- if these wear out it will feel like speed assist is on 100% of the time.
Make sure you post up how you fixed the problem![]()

Pull the fuel pump fuse and plug it back it.
