Painting Engine Covers

Hi there

Has anyone repainted their VN-VS engine covers in the factory style finish?

I'm waiting on a quote to Soda blast them (the paints starting to flake off in places) - won't be cheap.

Local mag wheel restoring place wants 250-300 for the set (rocker, fuel rail and throttle body covers)

More than I can afford anyway.

Any paint at Superc#$p I can use or something??

engine paint should be fine i would say, just normal preparation rules apply to it

hey mate get a can off paint stripper workes a treat and use somthing to scrap bubbled paint with easy done?? as for paint u can use a spray can but depends how good u want it???

So paint strripper doesn't affect alloy??

Do you know if they have paint that's the same metalic silver finish?

hey nar shouldent affect it mate done it a few times ay the alloys sorta corse anyways so ???as with paint use a spray pack either from auto one or a spraypainters they can mix wat ever colour u want and it comes in a can ???? so factory silver paint should be easy to get i think???
