Fuel pump still running (wizzzzz)

Hello,

I tried to find a solution in the the VN workshop manual and the forum as I remember to have seen such a topic but I found nothing.
As I am on a a road trip, I just drove the car to a mechanic for a general check and everyting was OK.
Since today, I noticed that my fuel pump is always running wtih this tipical nose (wizzzz) even when my engine run.
And I remember before I used to heard this noise five second when I started the car and then it stopped.

Any idea?

I drove most than 650 yesterday and was nearly at the end.

So that's it?
it's not a real pb?

Also most of the time when I turn on the ignition they I wait still the end of the noise of the fuel pump to start

From what i can make of your post i think that is normal. I get the whirring after the ignition is turned on and whilst running. Usually i'm too busy driving to be paying attention to the sound the fuel pump makes.

I just hear the sound when I'm under the the car near the exhaust, not when I'm inside. I'm quite sure this noise wasn't there before or less noisy.

But if it's normal, it's a good news!!

its normal, my vns been doing it since i got it, my mates vn does it, his borthers vq v8 does it, my neighbors vl does it, othing bad, unless its excessively loud
