Damn VN hates starting cold.

I have checked the geasket seals in the intake manifold and throttle body and there new and installed right, i have also checked the IAC sensor and it works i have made that air tight as well. It idols on 1000rpm. When starting hot it starts easy, starting cold it cranks over for over 3 seconds then only starts with my foot on the gas pedal, idols ruff then works fine. Im out of ideas as to what is causing it.

is it on LPG ??? have you checked your ECT sensor

sounds like dribbling injectors and its flooding when cold , starts ok when hot cause the fuel will evap when left for short periods of time but over night or longer periods the fuel will not evap easy in a cold motor clean your injectors check your fuel pressure reg to signs of fuel leaking thru it

no not on lpg, where is that sensor located? and what does it do?

i used injector cleaner a month or so ago, i will chack the reg and see if there leaking

ECT sensor engine coolant temp tells the ecm the water temp of the engine if reading incorrect can cause a rich running problem excessive fuel usage and hard starting due to over rich mixture . should be located in the front of the manifold under the alternator if i remember correctly
