Steering Knock on VP Commodore

G'day all

I have a VP Commodore that steering knocks when turning right hand side full lock

It is basically doing the same as what a front wheel drive car would when the CV's are shagged, ie: the harder right i turn the worse it knocks, or if i turn easy right and avoid u-turns, i can avoid making the steering knock

what could be causing this?

How are your swaybar link pins?

Sounds like it could be the rack end. The bit that comes out of the rack and connects to the tie rod end.

cheers, will get under the front and check it out

turned out to be a split swaybar link pin bush. threw in all new nolathanes and that fixed it.
