    Default Is this my CAS? ( Noob to my engine!)

    Hey guys!

    Just took a pic of my CAS? duno if it is..

    Wondering, if it IS the CAS..Does it look shagged to you?
    If its NOT the CAS can you tell me where it sits

    Reason I ask is.. My slow start up issue is still occuring.. I changed the ECU..Ignition module.. Plugs/Leads (Coil pack is fine according to the mechs)

    Ah, excellent.. Now, how do I tell if its half shagged?

    And.. By looking at it.. I should be able to just clip it out? (to take it out)

    Check your error codes ( should be a sticky some where on here instructing how to do it). If anything comes up regarding a fault with the CAS then replace it. As the CAS uses magnets it's very hard to look at it and go yeah it's gone. To replace it you will need to remove the harmonic balancer using a balancer puller (you can get it from supercheap). A CAS isn't expensive how ever if you have a little more coin I suggest you get a new balancer while your at it as the ones on that motor have rubber which tends to perish after a while leading to balancing issues. I am not going off what the guy down the road told me I have seen it with my own eyes on my VR.

    mark your balancer is not that hard to replace i have done it my self when mine went does your motor feel lumpy on idle while sitting in it at all that is how we worked my harmonic balancer was ****ed lol
