    Default vn v8 inlet manifolds????

Im running a factory v8 with a 6 speed manual. i want to upgrade the inlet manifold from the asthmatic factory bunch of bananas. has anyone had any experience with the Starr Performance manifolds? How do they compare to the Torque Power item?

good point, has flat top pistons, mild cam,, i want to go to a crow 4619 style grind, mild head work, i am sending the heads for bowl blending, otherwise its just the usual lighten and balance work, currently has standard manifold with 70mm throttle, pacemaker headers, twin exhaust system, 6 speed box and 4.11:1 diff gears. has aftermarket adjustable ECU aswell. cheers

Too much engine for a Starr/Banana. I'd almost run a TP or Harrop single plane on that since you have a 6 speed and 4.11 gears. Other than that your only real option is the TP dual plane (the little one) but that might be running out of steam where that cam wants to make peak power. I guess it depends how often it's over 6000 rpm

I guess it all depends on whether you need/want to keep it all under the bonnet or not...I agree with Greenfoam though, TP single plain would be nice however, if it's to stay under the bonnet then the TP dual plane is the only option.

thanx guys, i have spoken to both shops, and the TP guy did seem more confident. he suggested a 1000cfm EFI hardware quad throttle. Any advantage in using the quad throttle over a Active Twin Tech, twin throttle body hat? Im in NZ so coming through the bonnet with a bug catcher style scoop is no problem legal wise. I just want a good driveable street car with the ability to have fun whenever desired. Later hopes are for a vortech blower, hence the 619 crow cam going in.

The guy at TP suggested the high rise dual plane aswell
