Vc v6

I have a problem with a VN V6 which I have just spent over $6,000 prior to fitting it into my VC track car. I unwrapped the plastic cling wrap and started to fit the ancillary equipment when I found a couple of holes in the cylinder heads. Looking from the front of the motor the left hand head has a 20mm hole which corresponds with a hole in the valley gasket and on the right hand head the same thing except it is at the back of the head. I have two spare heads and neither of these heads has the holes but you can see the imprint of the holes in the valley cover gasket. What is supposed to go in these holes? Is it something like a welsh plug perhaps? Of course it is now too late to call anyone being New Year's eve.
