if you are happy to spend that much on a v6, just try and find a second hand v8 and youll save 5k, and have more power. rip for what your getting in the end

So the v8 is the way to go, but i hate to ask how much of a pain is it to convert a vn v6 to a v8? its a s-pac so the brakes should be ok, is there any other major points to look at?
Also anyone done a vs or vt v8 conversion?

conversion isnt difficult you need to change to a v8 k frame and v8 gearbox of your choice otherwise its pretty simple bolt in job. Best advice i can offer is to find a v8 loom from the same model car i.e. vn (same year too) powerslave has had plenty of troubles trying to make a vs loom suit his car. i had troubles with a vp loom into a series 1 vn as many of the connectors were different and the alternator loom wasnt on the engine loom as the early model had.

But if you get the right loom its a simple job of unplugging old one and pluigging in new one
