    Default Engineering question

    hi all. i'm in coffs harbour N.S.W. and am having the need to fit a dickie seat in my vn wagon to make it a 7 seater. was just wondering if anyone new if i need to get it engineered and if so who in coffs or what type and if anyone knows roughly what an engineers report would cost to. any help greatly appreciated

    no if you run the factory seat you should just be able to update the rego info

    even if there is no factory holes for the seat and i have to drill them myself?

    shouldnt need to drill extra holes the factory dickie seat probably uses both drvers and passenger holes.

    Unless you know better than I and have a seat there already...

    don't have one already but as far as i know there are know holes in the cargo area except for the baby seat achor holes.

    The way to go would be find a mechanic/engineering shop that does their own race car or drag car or a 4wd modifying business and have them do a safe install without getting it "engineered". I've been through something similar with child seats in the rear seats of a twin cab ute and used Bob Watson service centre (Rally driver) to do it safely without costing $1000's. Thats my 2 cents unless you can find out how it was done from a holden mechanic at a dealership.
