hi guys, one of my mates vp wagon seems to sputtering almost as if it is being choked of air or petrol. i replaced the fuel filter and the problem still occured, replaced plugs and it fixed the problem for the time being, it has now come back after about 15 mins of driving! ive been old that the leads have been replaced recently. could it be the injectors? any ideas would be great. thanks

Personally, do the ECU error code check .

Could be not sparking good enough maybe?

how do u go about doin an ecu check? what would cause a lack of sparking?

As for sparking, the Coilpack or the DFI may be to old..And can die.

Have you checked the pipe leading from the TB to the MAP sensor? I had issues and found the ends of this pipe to be cracked. I trimmed both ends back 7mm, cleaned it up and put it back in place and no issues since then. Although the ECU error code check would save a lot of issues, it could be that one of the sensors is on the way out.

check your spark plug leads for either an open circuit or excessive resistance and check your fuel pressure.
