vn brakes dont work

can someone tell me what could be the prob with my brakes ? pedal can hit the floor with ease brake light is on i connected a loose hose that was running from firewall presumably into dash ? to another hose that is on u thing that looks like a fuel or oil filter that sits near bottom of engine bay supported by spring an bracket there are also other hose on this ? i connected these an pumped pedal a bit an my brake light went out an i also got some sort of force behind pedal is this normal?

Check your Brake Fluid.. Might need new fluid in it.. or the brakes are unpressurized

Sadly, i duno how to re pressurize the brakes
