most cars these days get measured from the centre of the wheel to the bottom of the guard. and i thought it was 100mm from the lowest point.

also my hanbreak cable is really low on 1 side aprox 50mm off the ground could i be defected 4 that i have tryed to fix it but couldnt move it up

Glad to see all the South Aussie's helping you out

-320mm in the front and 280mm in the rear i think might be 270mm, 230mm for calais
-You must still retain the 100mm ground clearence to your lowest point as well

yes you can get defected for too low if there's not enough clearence under this cable. Stupid but true get it fixed

any idea how i can move that handbreak cable up cause it pretty low. i think i might "just" be safe with the rest of the car. and do they take the measurement with people in the car

adding to that SA goes by 'eyebrow heights' so measure from your centre cap to the guard.

    adjust the cable tighter.

OT anyone know what the handbrake changes (01.01.10) were to align the states? more relaxed for SA or tighter laws?
