Hey guys,
I am more into bikes than cars, however I am looking to branch out with a project car. My brother in law is leaving the country and wants to offload his unregistered and cosmetically screwed (white car with blue "highlights") VP for $500.
Now painting is not a hard thing for me, so outside cosmetically is not a problem, and under his bonnet looks very clean indeed.
I am a total noob when it comes to car's, and have only really worked on bikes. I would not say I am an expert at that either.
What are the common problems someone like me will face when converting from bikes to cars? and what goes wrong with the VP as a rule?
any help or info on a good starting place would be awesome too.
Thanks guys!
Already tried that link mate, It's borked. Thanks for yelling though, very refreshing. very thorough.
just good servicing, good fuel economy with smooth running (means all the sensors are happy n jolly), nice running temp and a good ear for things that sound out of place while driving it and you will be fine mate.
But with the V6's its good to run some engine flush through them when changing the oil. Ive had mates with some horrror stories with a sludge problem that siezed the motor, another threw a rod. So flush the engine when changing oils cause it will build up no matter how many times u change the oil.
Other than that enjoy ur car mate
