Default Vr dash loom cluster etc to VP

Hey im a bit stuck at the moment, i have a fully optioned VR berlina that was writen of after haveing it on the road for 3 days, So what im doing atm is throwing everything VR into my vp.

So far i have both cars completly guted and im a bit stuck on the dash, mainly how do i mount it, should i bother changing the loom, since i have it and all that....I want the full VR electrics to work, trip cruise climat etc etc.... so perhaps loom swap ?

All help and info you can offer me would be great, and dont say use the search function, i tried :P and got 50 billion hits for vr dash to vp and i cant locate the tutorial lol.

And did i mention i have a complete donor car

And ahh, wrong section, but while im at it, would anyone have all the chrome to suite a vp mainly rear quarter chrome strip's the VR's wont fit, wrong shape.

i recomend the full loom swap if you want full electrics and the dash will fit straight in with the centre bolt holding the dash top.

Yeah i just did a bit of digging, ill haft to loose the climate and adjustable tilt and reach stearing colum if i dont swap the firewall :S

Reason being neither of these blot up to the vn/vp firewall.

I did dummy the dash up earlyer today and it looks good in there.......I did notice however that where the vr dash mounts in the vr ( long piece of back metal looking thing ) it only seems to be glued to the firewall, can i remove that and use it ?

Yeah, i was thinking i dont realy need it, would you happen to know if i can use the vp havok box and climat controles etc with the vr loom ? ie are the plugs there for the blower fan etc ? the vacume lines for the vents and everything are in the vp, ill just need the 2 plugs that sit on the old manual type thing, cant think of the name its to late atm.

yes, i know, i have the dial setup in the vp, I just need to know if i can patch the vr loom into it, or do i need to go to the wrecker's and cut out a piece from a vr with the dial setup, and what else i need to remove fromt he vr loom to make it work as normal

you cant use the vr loom for the vp hvac box. at the end of the day if you want the heater or a/c to work you will need the climate hvac box from a vn vp vq.
as for the vr loom into the vp you will need all of the drivers side loom with the fuses and relays included

Also remember that if you want your center vents to work nicely etc, while using the VN/VP hvac box and a vr dash - you will need to mould up a vent...

as far as changing the firewall - like I said in PM - it's 2 bolts and lots of glue to get them out.

you also have to remove the windscreen on both cars.

having adjustable steering column and that kinda stuff on a vn is really nice....

I'd suggest you spend a day ripping out the firewall on the written off car, and see how much you like the job if it's bearable, repeat on the VN and you're all done.

you'll want to weld him in there, though - or at least find some good polyurethane or whatever it is that they use from the factory.

I'm pretty sure you can't put a VR/VS cluster(dash) into a VP? Because something to do with different electronics will cause the dash to smoke up when you connect it.
