My maroon VQ series 1 Caprice was stolen on the 20th of December from my front yard at around 11:30pm Emu heights nsw, it had the silver skirting around the car as the caprice does. It has new pedders red rider suspension all round and was sitting on 18" Gestalt GV1 full chrome rims.
A considerable reward will be offered for its return or information leading to it. If anyone happens to hear of unusually cheap Caprice parts for sale please let me know also.
Thanks all for having a look and remember to keep your commy's locked up nice and safe in the garage with your rotty chained to it (like I should have)!

Sorry guys was half asleep when posting. It was stolen from my front yard in emu heights nsw on the 20th of december after 26 hours of owning it, so no insurance had been put on it yet. Stands out in the crowd. have a few ideas so any bit of info may help in locating it big or small!
I'd be scoping out the guy you bought it off.. 26hours isn't long. I hope you find it
MY RIDE
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
Myself and 30 mates think the same thing and are pretty certain it was a key job as the deadlock was on... but without evidence it's a hard thing to follow. The engine covers where off and sitting in front of it and they took the time to pick them up at 11:30 at night in the dark. if anyone see's the wheels around the long jetty/central coast area can they please let me know the rego? I only need one thing to go on! The boys in blue won't follow it up as it should have been insured but wasn't so i'm still 5K out of pocket and can't wait to hear something, as stated reward will be offered for info leading to it.
Just bash the old owner and ask questions later.![]()
Its been gone 23 days and you now only post up it was stolen
i feel sorry for you but you really should've had a cover note i hope you find it
If its got Wheels or Boobs its gonna cost ya money
Yeh, pretty dumb for not getting the cover note but obviously didn't think this was going to happen and being a 5L wanted to do a little bit of shopping for insurance. I have posted the car everywhere else as stolen and wanted to check with a few mates first before making it too public. Still no news so i'm guessing it's probably been crushed by now!
There's pretty much no doubt that it was the old owner or someone who had recently done work on the car. Deadlocks on means key used or put on back of truck. I would visit your local MP and make a big fuss about cops not following it up. The fact a key must have been used makes the list of suspects pretty small. The easiest thing to do would be to get your missus to talk to his missus and start crying, you'll find out quite a bit that way. Also check into victims of crime compensation mate.
Personally I wouldn't have reported it stolen until after getting a cover note.
Good luck mate, if your sure it's him don't put yourself in jail, sugar+petrol=revenge.

Quick update.
Nothing back about the car and still nothing to go on! Been just over 5 weeks so guessing the car is parts on about 30 other commodores. Thanks to anyone who did keep an eye out and once again if anyone hears of the rims shown going cheap around the nsw areas between blue mountains and central coast with 1 wheel having peeling chrome and the rest perfect please let me know as I would love to find the ###### that thought it would be a good idea to steal it!
Thanks guys
Dude i am sorry to read about the car.
But yeah as others have said as soon as you said 26 hours the previous owner poped straight into mind. And as you have said they have just had a new baby they obviously needed money but did not want to part with the car.
It would more then likely be a mate of his and not him directly as it was to obvious.
I wish you good luck
INNAWE (in awe)
Noun 1. awe - an overwhelming feeling of wonder or admiration; "he stared over the edge with a feeling of awe"
2. awe - a feeling of profound respect for someone or something; "the fear of God"; "the Chinese reverence for the dead"; "the French treat food with gentle reverence"; "his respect for the law bordered on veneration"
You said you reckon it's been scrapped for parts. I would be snooping through any place that deals in parts. Wreckers, mechanics that sell spares, etc. If you stick your nose everywhere and someone is sus at to where the parts came from you may get some info. Either that or you may come across the scum who deal this stolen stuff knowingly. It's these people that keep these cars being stolen in the first place.
