Hey guys
Just wondering if this is a sign of a busted lsd ?
Was out at a mates place and went to go do a burnout and started off spining 2 wheels then went on to the brakes to do a bit of a liney then only 1 side started to spin... Never had this before...? other wheel never kicked back in either.. Does a factory lsd sometimes only spin 1 side?
The day before this i did just get the brakes bleed.. Would that have caused it?
Was no noises or clunks when it stoped either..
i had the exact same question not so long ago, the factory lsd is like 60 40 anyway at the best of times but they're not designed for burnouts. it's probably a bit worn but still ok (well, i drive with mine like that too). if you really want to do burnouts then minispool is the way to go. you'll get both wheels spinning then

Minispool and 9" if your in a burnout frenzie
If the traction at both wheels isn't the same like if one will is in wet clay and the other on road then the factory setup will spin the slippery wheel BUT it will have enough grab to get you going, that's how it's supposed to be _limited_slip_ not lockedthat's why if you abuse them they will wear out. In a straight line on the same surface they will spin 50-50 and no problems
Chances are it's just a lazy old factory LSD. They're not very good to start with - and once you begin to abuse them they quickly die. They're more designed, as greenman said, to assist with everyday driving anomolies (specifically during towing), as opposed to facilitating burnouts.
