    Default Installing a CB Radio

    Hey everyone.
I'm new to interior modding and haven't played around with cars that much.

I have a 1990 VN Berlina and I want to install a CB Radio, I already have the equipment needed but don't know how to install it,
eg where do i get the power from, how do I run the antenna to the front of the car.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks

we installed our under the radio in that spare spot, for power we tapped into the cigarette lighter, that way it only works when the cars on and you wont leave it running all night.

there should be a gromet in the firewall to feed through a cable, if not. make one.

P.s the aerial is easier to mount on the boot. and looks better

I hooked mine directly to the battery via a relay and switch, so I could use it when the car was off. But otherwise getting power from ign or acc is the way to go, as you did tvr

Sweet TVR I'll give it a go, how did you mount yours to the back? Did you use a bracket?

cut the veru end of the bottom pocket off, just enough so you can fit the cb in there, then i made a crappy face plate from sheet metal. sprayed it black, viola.

in my calais i have a unit with a detachable face which i mounted over the stereo and have the rest of the unit under my seat.

yeah just the same old bracket you can use for the front, put it in the boot drain line, 2 self tapping screws and some silisone to prevent any leaks.
