    Default v6 conversion to v8

    Im still looking for a complete conversion for my vn commodore, anyway it looks like i will be doing the work on my own,
    Just looking for opinions on theway iwanted to do it

    I have a car hoist fork lift and all the tools needed ,supplyed by the work boss.
    Would it be easyer to drop the Kframe and gearbox from the bottom then wheel the v8 one in on the forklift and bolt up or should i battle with pulling it from the top and installing from the top?

    much easier to drop it out the bottom, but from experience its not quite as easy trying to line it back up to put it back in the same way esp with a forklift. The way i did it was to position it and lift it with the forklift, then with the bonnet off, used an engine crane to lift it slightly and locate all the bolts and such.
