hey will a vs diff fit into a vn commodore
i would say yes as long as its a solid diff and not irs
The complete assembly, axle to axle? No.
Well it can be physically bolted up to the control arms and Panhard rod (I've seen it done) but they are not interchangeable. VR/VS live axle have a different (wider) track to VN/VP. The difference is not great (look it up) but the car will drive (handle) noticeably strangely.
Thanks Cheap6, My VN has a VR diff in it which was there when i bought it and you may have just solved my strange floating feeling from the rear end that I always attributed to the adjustible panhard rod being off centre, however didn't go away when i aligned it. The diff is rooted anyway and needs replacing so hopefully this makes my baby feel a bit more planted![]()
