vp engine loom (wring harness ) into vn

hi i have a vn 89 calais i burnt out wiring harness and some one told me could put vp wiring harness and ecu into my vn i was wondering if so and if so can some one tell me how thanks a lot

apparently its possible mate but i'm not sure of the exact details. The VN series 1 has a different intake manifold, different cooling system, different O2 sensor and i'm not too sure but id guess theres a few other sensors which are different too. Also you will need to spin the alternator 90 degrees in it's bracket for the plug to reach. The other issue is you will need to modify the positions of the wires in the connector where the loom connects to main relay/fuse box and replace the connector for the dash functions with a VN one so it will fit. All in all i dont see much advantage in using the VP ecu as it will probably be much easier to source a good quality VN series 1 harness
