Fellas, I've just bought a decent set of rims for use at carshows etc (not everyday) however as we all know - the VP IRS has its own special offset so of course the wheels fit too far under, clashing with lower control arms and also inner guard. Not going to run adaptors or bolt on spacers - would rather swap lower control arms.
I need to fit up some VR-VS rear hubs to my lower arms, or swap entire arm assembly (along with rotors).
Has someone done this job of swapping the later model hubs to their IRS rear VP?
Keen to know if there are any tricks or hints.
Cheers
I haven't done it but I think it's just the hubs you need to change. I was just going to swap the whole thing over when I broke the original sub frame but it seems it wont break now. So I've forgotten that idea and moved on to thinking about putting a VY sub frame a 8 inch lsd in it but the info on that is still a bit all over the place

Mate I've actually heard of someone doing that conversion. I think with mine, its hubs and also rotors of course - pushes out and inch. Rims are 20x8.5 with 225/35r20s on front and 245/35r20s on rear. Sitting way under atm.
There was a thread here or somewhere else with pics of handbrake section of both VP and a VS unit, and the difference was very obvious. Cannot find the thread after an hour or searching.
There were a couple threads on SC with pictures but all that will be dead since their server crash
