Injectors ??

G'day
i just got my injectors cleaned yesterday and i was wondering does anybody know if they take the paint of the injectors when they clean them ?? mine were black now they are a grey silver colour and the car is running like a dog ..hard to start ,running out of fuel under full acceleration..any help would be good as im going back tomorrow morning..

I think they just replace the whole injector with reconditioned ones.
Then send your old ones away.
Its a swap thing...

yeah he probably did but he said that my injectors were filthy and had a hard time cleaning a few of them ??

No they normaly wouldnt take the paint of them, i think you have been scamed there mate. Id get on to it if i was you and ask for your old ones or the same flow rated ones back

thanks for the reply ,i didn't think they would take the paint of but wanted to make sure..these are all silver and grey and my old ones were all black..yeah ill be there at 8 in the morning wanting my old ones back..

some places clean all the old paint off. half of it gets cleaned off with the ultrasonic clean anyway.

Yes Repco do the swap thing, I guess it is just easier and quicker for them to have a set on the shelf ready to go.

It does sound like you got some other problems with the new injectors though..
Hope they sort it out for you in the morning.
