    Default v8 level 2 cluster into vn v6?

    i just got a vn bt1 level 2 cluster for my vn but its for a v8 and because my car is a v6 im just wondering if i put it in i know the tacho wont read properly but will everything else work fine until i find a v6 level 2 tacho to put in

    Yeah everything else will work, you can change some resistors around, and it will work. I did it in my cluster because it was out of a VQ V8.

    Yep it will work - the temp gauge will be a little different reading too - but nothing to worry about.

    probley a stupid q's but does this work vice-versa, v6 cluster too v8 dash? LEVEL 1
    tacho sticking, fuel gauge faulty (runs out at 1/8th) ,speedo sticks all the common stuff on vn's.

    The voltage regulator may be the problem with your cluster. It may just need a little solder oin the joints as they crack and the cluster stops working. You can run a V6 cluster in a V8 car - just the tacho reads wrong. The temp gauge is a little out but not too much.

    I've converted some VR L2 V6 tacho's to V8 and may need some one to test it out. Let me know if your interested
